Who we are

Volo ("Volo", "we", "our") is a wedding-planning app and website operated from Spain. You can reach us at hello@voloapp.es.

What this covers

This policy covers voloapp.es, the Volo iOS app, and any public wedding pages or RSVP links we host on the Volo domain.

What we collect

Volo is built for couples planning a wedding. We collect:

• Account info. Email address (required) and a password, or a third-party identity if you sign in via Apple. Stored by our auth provider.
• Wedding details. Partner names, wedding date, venue, budget, guest list, menu, seating plan, gift registry, photos, music choices, running order, and any notes you add. You control all of this.
• Guest details (when you add them).Names, contact details if you choose to enter them, RSVP status, dietary needs, allergens, and any song suggestions or messages guests submit. Guests are added by the couple; guests don't create their own Volo accounts.
• Device and usage data. Basic logs from our hosting provider (request times, IP addresses, error reports). We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
• AI chat input. If you use the AI planning assistant, the messages you send are processed by our AI provider to produce a reply.

Why we use it

• To provide the app — store your wedding plan, sync it across devices, share RSVP and public-wedding pages with the people you invite.
• To send transactional notifications you've enabled (e.g. RSVP confirmations, anniversary reminders).
• To diagnose errors and keep the service running.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share wedding details with anyone outside the providers below.

Who processes your data on our behalf

• Supabase (database, auth, file storage, edge functions). EU-hosted.
• Vercel (web hosting and serverless functions).
• Anthropic (the AI provider behind the planning assistant). Only the prompts you send to the assistant are processed by Anthropic; we do not feed your guest list or contacts to it automatically.
• Apple Push Notification Service (only if you opt in to notifications on iOS).
• GoDaddy (DNS / domain registrar for voloapp.es).

Each of these is bound by their own data-processing terms.

Where it's stored

Your wedding data is stored in the European Union. Some sub-processors above (e.g. Anthropic, Vercel's edge network) may process data outside the EU under standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your wedding data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or your wedding, we remove it from our live database within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated logs may persist longer for security and billing.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to:

• Show you a copy of your data.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your account and the data tied to it.
• Stop processing your data, or send it to another service.
• Complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain that's the AEPD (aepd.es).

Guests and RSVPs

When a couple shares an RSVP link with their guests, the guest sees only what the couple chose to make visible (the wedding date, venue, menu, etc.) and their own seat in the party. Guests submit their reply via that link; we store it against their guest record so the couple can see it. Guests who want their details removed should contact the couple who invited them, or write to us and we'll forward the request.

Cookies

voloapp.es uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies (e.g. for the admin dashboard's authentication). We do not use marketing or analytics cookies.

Children

Volo is not aimed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please email us so we can delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
